when i put my clutch in it gets stuck.not all the way but i would say 1-2 inch off the ground.i cant go into anygear because it grinds.what could it be?it my clutch bad?i jest got the car

1) Try bleeding the clutch at the slave cylinder, and if that doesn't work
2) Adjust the clutch pedal push-rod
And if none of that works, it could be your pedal assembly. And if all else fails pull the trans.

i would check the assemble first at the pedal, their are rubber bushing in there that are probally 15ish years old. i agree with LiveDSM , worst comes to worse your tranny rebuilding.

I had this problem once and it turned out that my tranny bolts where coming loose and my tranny was literally seperating from the block. Probably just needs a bleed, however i would check the tranny bolts anyways just to be safe

The clutch isnt disengaging, You wont need a rebuilt for that. It has to do with the pressure plate not letting go of the clutch disk. This just happened to me however i found out that i broke 2 fingers on my act 2600 pressure plate. My new pressure plate is in and now im just waiting for my clutch pedal assembly to get back from shep. I hope all you have to do is adjust that rod or bleed it! Pulling my trans for the 6th time is starting to get old haha

Try bleeding the system i also had a similar problem to this.
My slave was leaking like crazy. Took it out installed a fresh slave and has worked wonders ever since.
But if you say you hear "grinds" your synchros might be going out.

well since he cant fully disengage the clutch with his pedal anyways id say its grind has nothing to do with the syncros.

The slave cylinder could be another issue, but not the who cylinder itself, it could just be the rod inside the slave that pushes against the fork to disengage the clutch going bad. This has happened before, on a perfect, non-leaking slave, and its only about a 10-20$$ fix.

its funny cause i have a similiar problem but mine is that it wont go into gear if i press the clutch all the qway to the floor but if I go to about halfway off the floor it would go into gear I took my tranny apart and replace the pivot ball and added a washer plus got new oem master and slave cylinder and i trieds adjusting the rod and still doesnt work properly still grinds if i tried to shift with clutch all the way down to the floor if someone can help me if not i am just going to take it to a shop

Replace your slave and master cylinders. They go bad all the time, and they can both be had for under $100. It only takes about an hour to replace them in a driveway... Then you just need a buddy to help bleed the clutch.
