ok i am looking at an AWD TSi, and one of the "problems" is that it doesn't want to idle when you first start it.

He says you have to keep the RPM's u and let it "warm up"

is this normal, how would i fix it?

Check your FIAV (fast idle air valve) on the throttle body.... it's what controls idle on cold starts. If it's bad, replace it and you should be good. :dsm:
