doesn't want to Idle at first...

ok i am looking at an AWD TSi, and one of the "problems" is that it doesn't want to idle when you first start it.

He says you have to keep the RPM's u and let it "warm up"

is this normal, how would i fix it?

Check your FIAV (fast idle air valve) on the throttle body.... it's what controls idle on cold starts. If it's bad, replace it and you should be good.

Before you go replacing parts....

You should remove your IC piping to the throttle body and clean the throttle plate and throttle body. THEN you should start addressing any idle problems.
