does this sound like a bad turbo?

So I know my TSI's small 16g has a bad oil seal. but the car has developed a new symptom. it seems to fall on its face around 0-5 psi depending on the gear it in.(like a fuel cuttoff) I have checked for boost leaks massed with the adj. boost controller, and now I am down to the turbo itself, perhaps rubbing the walls under boost. any suggestions are helpfull


BTW I am looking for a rebuilder locally (PA), but I am wondering if this may be another issue that needs addressed

Get it rebuilt. Seal leakage can definitely effect performance of the turbo.

Iam willing to bet its your seals. Mine does the same thing and its boost leak free. It feels like you almost don't even have a turbo, it sucks .

Ok I read this and will get it rebuilt just gotta find something to drive for a week or so or a different turbo as I need this to drive to work. Are you the Guy Justin who is mentioned in the classifieds for turbo rebuilding all the time? just curious, anits nice that you are in PA
