Does AEM ECU supports ABS?

Talking ABS and AEM ecu.

Before I delete the ABS i like to know if AEM series 2 support ABS? I look at the AEM instructions and it does not mentioned anything abiut ABS.

I have both AEM series 1 for 1G and Series 2 with a jumper cable. The series 1 calls out ABS (92 only) and I had a hard time making it to work on my 94. I have not installed the Series 2 as of yet, but since does not mentione ABS i cant really tell if it is supported.

I was about to consider selling both AEM and go DSMlink, but i like to give it a try first.

Ok so the series 1 30-1300 did supported some ABS thru Coil#3 Pin 11. I hope we agree on that. I know it does and the only issue I had was that the ABS motor will stay on as soon as the key is turned and never shutdown, so something was wrong on the setup and I was not a le to figure it out. Therefore, Is there anyway to make it work correctly?

What kind of output comes out of Pin 11 on the stock ECU? Is it volt, or ground?

If I could only figure out how the ABS system I could switch the AEM to do what I need it to do.

With regards series 2 30-6310 there has to be an available coil or switch output to make it work. Anybody else other suggestions?

Are you asking for a 1G or 2G. The 30-6310 is the 2G EMS & pin outs & connectors are different. The EMS's are the same internally. The interface board is what makes the pin assignments platform & connector specific for the plug'n play stuff.

I like to make the 1G series 1 work first because that one I know it has an output for ABS.

I have to think that the signal from the stock ECU is an on/off signal because commands are driven by the ABS internal relays and the sensors.

I understand the 2G EMS is different pinouts, with a jumper cable It should and the correct setting work as well.

Alright EMS series 1 has an ABS output Pin 11. I beleive it a 5 volts output to signal the ABS control unit to power up. I have no idea why the EMS manual says (ABS only for 92 year only) beceuse 92 and 94 are the same control modules.

When I installed the EMS series 1 in my 94 for some reason the ABS hydraulic motor staid on and wont stop. Any idea why this could be happening?[DOUBLEPOST=1417784454][/DOUBLEPOST]I wonder if switching the coil #3 to "switch always on" would help giving the signal that the ABS ECU meed to shut-off the hydraulic motor.

Problem solved.

1- Agree AEM does not support ABS on DSM.

2- If you have ABS an plan to continue using it in your DSM with AEM you must remove the wire off the pin 11 or diactivate coil #3 in the AEM. Otherwise the EAM will ground the ABS circuit making the hydraulic motor run for ever and ABS error light will come on.

3- Pin 11 is for the ABS system to give the stock ECU a signal that the ABS is on or off. No output from stock ECU. The theory is that the ECU uses this on/off information only on automatic cars to adjust engine timing to reduce engine torque and to switch the automatic transmission to neutral. This theory has not been confirmed.
