umm... ill be the first to say this i guess... NO.!! IMO youll be spenting $400 for a MAX of 20hp extra, avg. of 5-15hp gains.. im my eyes... its not worth it!
sorry to be honest!

edit:
oops guess i was too slow haha!
correction, ill be the second!

I've also wanted to put one of these pre-turbo to see if you would notice any kind of difference since the pressure ratio of the turbo would increase that 1 psi by 3 or more on some turbo's. Almost like running a compound turbo setup, but much easier to make.

Since when does 1psi of positive airflow add 30hp?

That means a DSM with a T25 running 15psi should be making just shy of 600hp figuring the non-turbo 4G63 engine dynos somewhere around 130hp at the flywheel, and 15psi x 30hp = 450hp.

My numbers may be slightly wrong, but I'm sure others have used this method to calculate their horsepower numbers as well.

If it's all about the watts used by the blower, just buy this.

2500 watts for 1/8th the cost.

And if it's all about CFM at low pressure, buy this.

This is such a scam.

Your joking right? I bet money my 14b would suck that piece of scrap up quick. Kind of like a compound turbo setup? That's just silly. :nono:

Those things are a load of crap.

They are extremely expensive, and you will barely see a powergain from it if any.

It's almost as bad as those damn "Turbo Simulator" things that all the ricer kids buy.

FAIL

I would never do it, so it's half a joke, but still I've always wondered what would happen. Assuming it can produce 1 psi as it claims, that means the air pressure coming into the turbo is 15.7 psi(at sea level). So if you have more presure preturbo=even more presure post turbo. Maybe it's stupid and I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying it, but it's basic physics, the same physics behind compound turbo systems. That's why they are capable of running like 60 psi. Like I said, I would never waste money trying it, but if some one has one they want to lend me I would consider trying it to see what happens. Or just put 2 or 3 of them in line.:hellyeah:

If you're currently running 14.7psi and you added that, you you theoretically run 15.7psi with the same air efficiency (you keep the same pressure ratio). Nothing to write home about. An intercooler, meth injection, or water injection kit would all make more of a difference for $400.
