Brake calipers aside, in order to remove the front rotors on a 99 eclipse gs spyder do I need to remove that center nut with the pin in order to remove the rotor?
Thanks

hmmm...... My car has been a Great Lakes car it's entire life (LOTS of salt due to harsh winters). Granted, I have never driven it in the winter, but it's previous owner did. When I changed out the original rotors 2 months ago, 2 of them just slid right off, and the other 2 only took one small tap with the rubber mallet. IDK, maybe I was just lucky; I did all new pads and rotors in exactly 70 min from start to finish.hellotbone said:Hahah just tap it with a mallet. If you live in a state that uses salt be prepared for some fun or wrecking some stuff getting them off unless you get lucky. We tried to beat one off my car with an 8lb sledge (it came to that) we tried everything else and ended up beating it with that and wrecking the rotor. we were changing it anyways. B ut yeah it can get hard to get them off if they are really rusted on.
