I have been building this car for a little while now and i was wondering if i was in need of a fuel pump upgrade. I have a 1997 talon n/t that i have added a star performance (turbo specialties) T25bb turbo kit, greddy FMIC and rs BOV, injection block and injection control unit, turbo timer, fidenza lightened flywheel, SPEC racing stage 2 clutch, auto timer, and i will be soon adding a N-tercooler nitrous spray kit for the intercooler fogger made by nitrous express. Will i be needing a walbro 190 fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator or should i be fine on stock fuel components? Thank you

since your car is originally a NT and you put a "kit" on .....i would think that a 190 would be more than enough. With a 190...I don't think a regulator is necessary. How much boost are you running by the way?

nitrous as an intercooler sprayer? sounds expensive...why not go with co2 i would expect the results to be the same...

im puttin a 190 on my 93 eclipse. That is what ive heard to use because they say if you go 255 and what not youd need the safc stuff, and ive seen nitrous for the intercoolr they make kits with that now, wit nx

The stock fuel pump is nowhere near powerful enough to supply the fuel needed in a turbocharged application. Most 420A cars with turbo kits run a Walbro 255 (although a 190 would also be more than enough) with a Vortech (or similar) 12:1 FMU while retaining the stock FPR to control idle and vacuum fuel pressures.

Since you have that injection block you could do away with the FMU, but you'll likely need to replace it (along with the stock FPR) with an AFPR, such as the Aeromotive 1:1 AFPR.
