I need a few questions answered. First I was wondering being that I dont have a palm or anything to read for knock yet, would it be safe to run my new evoIII 16g at 16 psi and leave the same settings on the S-AFC that were set for the 14b at 18 psi? And second, I have had my engine block bored .40 over. Does that mean I now have a 2.4? or what. and will that help me spool the bigger turbo faster? thanks. anything else i need to change being bored out now?

Essentially bored means nothing. It just mens you have a resrfaced block. think how much 40 thousands of an inch is. Thats being taken out of a cylinder, twenty on each side of the cylinder. It aint much, all it means is you might have a 2.000000456 liter now.(exagerating)i believe the block cc is like 1997 so it might be a true 2.0L? im not sure. The evo 16g should be able to run fine at 16psi if you already have the supporting fuel mods. and make sure you have an EGT or logger of some sort, Pocket loggers work great. My friend royed his motor with only 15 psi when his fuel pump ate the dirt. :thumbdown
Hope that helps

To read knock on a 2G you can either buy DSMLink (the best tuning system for a 2G, its essentially a standalone), or you can go with a keydiver chip: http://www.dsmchips.com/2g.html that turns your stock boost gauge into a knock gauge. These are the only two ways to read knock on a 2G. DSMlink is great if you need all that functionality, but if all you want to do is read knock, then go with the keydiver chip, its cheaper then a pocketlogger anyway. BTW you should re-tune the car with the new turbo, you dont want it to run too lean, but I think you will be okay for a little while with the current settings, but make it a priority to retune the SAFC.
