1G dissapearing power steering fluid

it doesn't leak..everything near the pump looks bone dry..its just that every few days its just gone. any ideas? btw, the car is a 90 gst.

Refill it with Lucas ps fluid, it fixed my leak.

I bet if you looked under the car / inside the bellows you'd find the lost fluid.

I tried the stop leak (per oldman's post) but did not fix it 100% so ended up buying a new rack

Over time the rack seals get worn out. I've also seen hoses that leak and the metal lines rust out. Like DSM90AWD said, I bet you find it's leaking under the car.

oK, so IF the problem is the steering rack seals..which is not yet confirmed, how do i go about changing those seals? How hard is it? The lines are clean..no sign of any leakage. THanks guys

Only options (I know of) are to use a stop leak (like the Lucas mentioned previously) or to get a new/rebuilt unit.

I've not heard of a DSMr actually rebuilding one thenselves, but with the right tools and parts, anything is possible.

The FSM has the rebuild procedure but getting a rebuilt one would be much less hassle.
