2G Dimmer switch missing.

I've had this issue for a while already. My dimmer switch is missing. (thats how i bought it, interior lights are off, previous owner laid out small l.e.d lights to light up dash) and there are 3 wires hanging in its place. My question is, if I buy a dimmer switch off of ebay would it requiere a connection to the dimmer? Or do I simply solder the wires to the new switch?

If the dimmer swtich from ebay has wires connected to it. Just solder it.

From the ones ive seen on ebay they have some sort of connection. I guess im going to have to visit a junk yard.
