Different Door Panels?

I got my car missing tons of interior parts. So I recently picked up some from some guy, he gave me everything he had which was most of the trunk, rear cabin and a passenger side door panel, half of it I already had. But his stuff was better condition than mine. I didn't notice till today, The door panel I got from him was different!

The top one is the GSX's stock door panel, the new one is the bottom. You can tell the GSX's (which every 2g I've owned had these same door panels) has plastic speaker grills. The bottom one has a metal speaker grill which is a little different on shape. And the pockets, the bottom one has a huge pocket, the top one doesn't.

Anyone know what car the bottom one came from? He told me it came out of a black 95 GST but every search I do only shows the same door panels as the top, or the RS's without the pocket and manual windows. Is this a Dodge Avenger door panel? A 2ga thing? I need to know cause I like it much more and I want my Eclipse to be that much different. I still need a driver door panel.

They can be different from different 2g dsms just like the 1gs, the shades are different hard to find out what car sometimes.

Does it fit your door? It looks like it is about and inch too long. I am interested in this though incase I ever find myself a 2gb talon.

Oh shit, you know what I never even noticed that. Time to go back outside and fit it just to make sure! I don't see why it wouldn't. Even the dodge avenger uses the same doors as the eclipse.


YEs it does fit. All screw holes line up. I think its from an avenger. But even my old avenger had the same door panels as my GSX...

My door panels are like the bottom one. I've never actually noticed one like the top one before. Although between different 2g's, Avengers, Sebrings, etc, I'm not surprised some are slightly different.

Well I know there are differences, But I've owned 7 dsms! I've studied things like this before and never noticed. I'm gonna look into Talons. I know the RS's are just straight plastic door panels with round speaker grills and no pockets.

I think its a 95 Thing... Cause I haven't seen it on anything else other than a 95. I really wanna find another! I like it a lot!

I like the bottom ones better. That pocket on the top one is only good for stealing lighters and shit. Seriously unless it is sticking out a bit your not getting it back.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, My door panel, the top one that came off of my GSX had like 4 lighters in it, kinda fused together by some kinda candy that melted ha!

I do like the bottom ones better. I didn't know they were around until I just noticed the other day the new door panel I got from a 95 GST was different. So I wanna use it.

The door panels with the larger mag holder are from 95 models. Just another weird 95 thing.

My 96 gst have the small pockets, my 95 gsx have the big pockets and my 99 gsx have the big pockets too. My friend early 95 with blue interior have the big pockets too, as well as my friend's 95 gst.

Yep same here on my 95 GST I have the bottom one with the big pocket.

Early 95 2g's had the large pocket, in the bottom of the door panel.
Only those with a 1994 build date.
Just search for early 95 panels, they come around on ebay and stuff.
Look closely, because some had a slate blue interior and it will look almost like gray.

But I have seen one 97 Avenger with the large pocket and roll up windows.

Not a fan of these door panels. It just doesn't flow with the lines of the interior. I like the stockers better.
