2G Differences 420a 4g63 chassis

i come from germany and maybe as you know our 2g's dont have sunroofs.
i could get a eclipse chassie with sunroof very very cheap. the problem is that there was a 420a engine in before. my 2g has a 4g63. now i want to know where the differents are between the two chassies. engine and transmission brackets. what else? can i put all my parts directly on the "420a chassie" without problems?
i want to sandblast und paint it completly and i dont want to drill any new holes in the fresh painted chassie. are all holes located at the same place or do i have to drill new ones? (especially the holes in the firewall)
does andybody here have pictures of empty 420a and 4g63 enginebays?
i hope u understand what i mean

Completely different motors and parts, and 180 degree difference (Meaning the motor and transmission mounts are complete opposites of one another...) sorry man.

TalonESIT: i know that i have to change the engine and transmission mounts. but what else is different?
 
^^^ I never noticed before that the 420a cars appear to use the exact same mounts as a 4G car. They're literally just on opposite sides of the bay. I always thought they were different style mounts...

Nothing, really. Other than the engine/tranny mount locations, everything else should be the same. Same engine bay design and same front and rear subframes as a GST. Engine wiring harness will be different, and shifter cables probably are too. Steering and brakes shouldn't need to be changed or modified.

It wouldn't be worth the effort to someone like me, and I enjoy the path least traveled. But, it is do-able, so I'll let you determine what it's worth to you. Like the old saying goes: If you need to ask, it's probably not for you.
 
I know this might be a little off track, but where do you guys find 420a cars with bad motors so cheap? Every time I read a blog or what have you people are saying they found there car for a couple hundred bucks?

I could go buy a clean 420a car for $300 needs an engine and I can buy a running 420a car all day long for 500 there are about 20 for sale here on craigs list under $1000 becides who wants a 420a when you can buy a spyder gst for $300 (like I did)?

You didn't happen to get your spyder off the classifieds section did you? I emailed a guy on here that was selling one but someone had already given him money and not picked it up. Where in Louis. (craigslist wise) I'm looking for one.
 
I am in Louisiana. I don't know about other places but I can get 90-96 eclipses and talons cheap here I bought my 90 GSX for $450 with 79k on the clock back in 2003 all it need was an ECU and fuel pump. Heck I got a TSI FWD a few months ago for $450 with a blown engine and about $3000 worth of mods. Had I bought the car originally I would have paid less (long story).
