difference in fuel tanks?

can anyone tell me what fuel tanks will work in my 1g fwd, because i found a tank out of a awd ut idk if it will work and i would like to know befor i go pick it up

any 1g fwd should work. The awd gas tank is different because the fuel pump is on top. The fuel pump assembly is on the side on a fwd. You would be able to reach the fuel pump with the gas tank mounted if you have use the awd gas tank. You better off finding a fwd 1g gas tank.

I'd definitely go for a FWD tank, shouldn't be too hard to find all the junkyards seem to be full of FWD DSMs. Like pj91 said, the tanks are different and the location of the fuel pumps could lead to trouble/inconvenience down the road

awd and fwd tanks are not at all compatible, you can get one out of turbo and non turbo, so you have the better advantage of finding one.

when looking for one i would check to see if all of the screws come loose before buying if not it could cause some extra headaches trust me i learned the hard way. gl
