Since my engine was built I have been having an oil loss problem. Whats happening is after 2minutes or so of idle my exhaust begins to smoke, and smokes until i drive for about 30 seconds, and after that there is no excess smoke(aside from black from running rich). If I dont idle, i never see the smoke(verified by having others drive close by while doing a full throttle pull). But im still losing oil at a pace of about 1quart per 550-700km.

The engine was completely built, along with the head, and a brand new 68hta was put in. The new engine/turbo now have about 5000km on them. My compression results were astounding, at 110psi first crank, 180 5th crank, and 190 max across each cylinder. I have not had a chance to do a leak down test.

The builder said that he doesn't believe the oil is burning in the block or head, as my compression test shows perfect ring seal, and if it were a valve seal there would be constant smoke. His thoughts were that the oil was leaking from the turbo, and being burnt in the exhaust. I finally got around to pulling the down pipe, and im looking for any tell-tale signs of oil. The car hasnt been driven in about a month as I have been fixing a few minor problems/waiting for parts. Any ideas?

This is my build thread, if it matters.
