How to tell the 420A from 4g63 when the block is assembled and oil pan is on?

Also I know some 1g talons have the non turbo 2.0 engines. Is that the same exact thing without the turbo set up?

They do not look the same at all... nothing will interchange from a 4g63 to a 420A Look thu the pic galley and you will see.

Yes the 4G63 Turbo engine, is about the same as the 4G63 Non-turbo engine.

if youre not sure, just look at what side the timing cover is on. if its on your left (looking at the car from the front) then youve got a 420a on your hands, if its on the right, its the 4g63. theres tons of other ways theyre different but i hope this helps.

The only similarities in the two engines is they have 4 cylinders, if you know what one looks like you should be able to tell whether what you're looking at is the same as what you know or not. Most glaringly obvious if youre looking at the blocks is the 420a has the pentastar cast into the block in at least one location on the front or back. If there is no head on then you can tell a 4G63 with its closed deck and balance shafts. Whereas the 420a will be very open deck with coolant passages wide enough to drop tools into.
