Difference between 1g and 3g lifters?

Hello, i was curious to see what the difference is between 1g lifters and 3g lifters? i just bought a new head because my other one was junk. The head i just bought has 3g lifters and i wasnt sure if there was something special about these?

The main perk is that they help eliminate the annoying lifter tick. The revised/3G lifters provide better oiling and are less likely to get stuck or clogged because of the larger oiling hole.
