Difference A/T M/T suspension

I was just wondering if there is any differences between the A/T suspension and M/T suspension in my 1g. Its weird because when i start to boost the front wheels just spin and i dont go anywhere. I put my car on a lift once before and checked to see if the awd was working and it was.

? There's no difference in suspension between the two. Your front wheels should spin for just a half second before the rears kick in. If they don't, you might have a bad viscous coupler or something worse. Testing your AWD system on jackstands is quite different from testing under load.

Replace your center diff viscous coupling. They fail over time, they also get ruined if the car was ever towed on a dolly or behind a wrecker. In snow an awd car should slip the front wheels slightly before spinning all 4 wheels.

Test the following way. jack ONE side of the car up, then with the car in gear turn the front wheel. The rear should turn as well. Repeat test with car in neutral, if the rear wheel can be easily stopped the coupling is not doing its job.

It isn't too hard of a jobto replace, remove the passenger front wheel, then the end cover to the tranny. remove snap ring and pull the bugger off. Replace with new one. use good sealant on the cover surface and bolt it back together. Install wheel, and go do some sweet awd powerslides .

in our latest snow ive noticed that the fronts spin a just before the rears, BUT the rears will stay.. locked? in way so that fishtailing is kinda tricky when taking away and adding throttle.

Its just weird all my buddys were telling me it didn't even look like the rear wheels were trying. But i might end up replacing the center diff viscous coupling anyway.
