a/t to m/t swap

alright so I am in the middle of swapping my auto transmission to a manual one, and i was wondering if the steel halfshaft is different. I'm talking about the one that goes from the transmission to drivers side but not the one that goes into the wheel hub. i have a 91 talon tsi awd, thank you for the responses.

They differ slightly, but compatible. I swapped to Auto & re-used my manual halfshaft. You're good to go!

also does someone know how to get the cup off the crank the originally came from a flexplate? as you know a flywheel wont bolt onto this with a 1/4 gap to the crank.
