Did Chrysler fix the notorious 420a headgasket leak?

No problem! Just me (and I'm sure some others) would want to do all this just once and do it right so you don't have issues down the road and have to repeat this. I mean you could go with stock head bolts, but to me the ARP's are just added assurance, if you catch my drift!

Specially if you ever plan on doing more then stock one day :thumb:

ARPs are studs, so you wont have to grind off any threads. :) Learning is fine, i was referring to the "super fine" comment somewhere.. the head should always be at least checked for flatness.. Its cheap insurance :) Theres a pretty solid formula to build a stock and performance system.

ok that makes sense thanks

A little of an older thread but i think its the best place for this ??? Is it absolutly neccisary that youghave to get the head decked in order to use a mls headgasket?

Yes!

Aluminum warps more easily than the iron block so yes, it's wise to deck the head. It's not expensive. Man, will you hate yourself if you skip this step, put the car back together, just to find the new gasket didn't take.
