My problem is evading me but I think the symptoms may help diagnose with some of your insights.
I drive about 75 miles to work each way 5 days a week. after about 3months of this, the other night after getting home and about 1.5 hours of driving i let my car sit for about 45 minutes before getting back in it to head out for the evening.

I tried to start it and it would turn over and try to fire with an occasional misfire but it wouldnt start. I gave it about 5 minutes to sit and tried again, this time i gave it some gas and it misfired a bunch until i gave it enough gas to get the revs to rise to about 2.5K and then i wouldnt have to hold the key down to keep that car running but the car would die if i didnt keep it revved up.

I had to sit there holding the gas pedal down for about 30 seconds and it gradually got better but never idled properly till i revved it up to about 3.5K and held it there till the misfire went away.

They i drove off and it was fine. I went to dinner and it sat for about an hour and it had the same problem but started up much easier this time especially once i revved it.

The weird thing is it doesnt happen when the car is cold, only after it had been driven for a while at speep(hiway) then turned off then restarting is hard. Once i do get it restarted it drives like a champ.

a couple of days before this i installed some HIDs, but i doubt this would affect it. Also my Wideband digital display had been turning off and then after a car restart i would come back on. also sometimes in the mornings when the car is cold it is a bit hard to start having to hold the key in the ignition position for a good 5 seconds but then it starts no problem. I doubt these two things have anything to do with the problem but i thought i would mention them just in case.

any ideas or help to diagnose it? I had some friend say check out the injectors but what am i looking for? i have another set sitting in a parts car i could use but there's no guarantees those aren't bad. Im pretty sure the car is getting spark as well as it starts up after some coercion.

Any help would be great. I have a basic car knowledge rebuilding several motors and playing around with cars for some time but sometimes diagnosing problems like this just stump me.
