I just saw an add for this saying its the next best thing to sleeving a block.

I've done a bit pf research and found very good results and very bad results.

Anyone ever do this on a 4g63.
I could only find honda blocks doing this so far.

I am in no means attempting this. At least untill I build my second block.

Just looking for advice.

I myself think its a crazxy idea but honda owners boost to about 25psi with this in their blocks.

Just to make it sronger?

I don't know just an alternative to sleeving a block....

Why would you sleeve a cast iron, closed deck block?

Apparently I have no idea what I'm talking about is their a difference in honda blocks, are the open deck?

Sorry for the questions could someone give me a link to more info on why there's no reason to do this.

Would a sleeve effect a crack in the cylinder wall
Can you sleeve a 4g63?

The only thing I could see that it would be good for assuming it's what I'm thinkig is a block filler. There is that cement filler to strengthen the block that is poured into the coolant passages. Not sure if thisnwould be a light weigt alternative or if would even work well for that application.

WOAH that was a big difference

Is a v8 a closed deck block?

And what's the reason for the open deck on the honda block?

There are open and closed deck v8's, not all engines are made the same/equal....

I don't really know much about honda engines but maybe for better cooling, cheaper the way they made the blocks? I'm not exactly sure on that.
