Determine right intake

ok i was online and i purchased a greddy 18g intake pipe. it is a 3" inlet and of course its made for the 18g turbo. is it a bad idea to have this intake on my 14b turbo. i noticed most first gen intakes have 3" inlets or more as well so i want to make sure its ok before buying a reducer or should i just get that injen type intake

I don't see how it would be a problem as long as you use the reducer for the smaller compressor inlet on the 14b. Cheaper than buying a second intake pipe.

ok thanks, i just purchased the 3" to 2 1/4" reducer also a 3" to a 2" reducrer just to make sure one rights on perfect. thanks again for ya help

They also make spacers if you do not want to use the transition couplers.
