I bought a dejontool intake for my 1990 laser rs with a stock 14b turbo and manual boost controller. When I tried to put it on I found it only has a recirculation inlet. The rubber intake has two other hoses. I've identified them as the valve cover vent, which I put a breather on, and the charcoal canister hose. Can I simply remove the charcoal line or will this make my engine miss? I know the charcoal canister isn't necessary, but I remember thinking I had to cap something if I remove it.

Also, I was ripped off. :notgood: The picture on ebay showed the maf and cone included. I have a cone filter already from the filter box hack. How can I make the oval intake fit on the round filter box?

Thanks for all your help guys.

All depends on your desire to remove some of the emissions stuff. I completely removed mine and no issues as far as engine control. I too have a Dejon intake with only the BOV pipe. I have further decided, after the fact, to move my valve cover vent through a oil catch can and I just tapped into the pipe and put a nipple in it for the valve cover pipe. I'll take a picture of my set up and post it for you, it's dead simple. As far as the air filter situation it's just a matter of doing some hacking to clean up the MAF attachment ring again it'll be on my picture. :hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah:

Hope this helps. PM me if you need further explanation.;)
