I just installed my dejon tool uicp last night.. but now my hood wont close... the piping is touching the fuse box making it sit higher along with the bov... if anyone has pictures of their dejon tool set up, it would give me some idea of thats going on.

im thinking maybe I ran the piping wrong, im sure I ran the LICP right, iv never heard of any one having problems with this brand.

help please:sosad::dsm:

Full set of Dejon pipes on my '96 AWD. Not sure why yours would rub...

EDIT: Maybe you need to try to shove the intercooler end of the UICP farther into the coupler if it's sitting too high and pushing the fuse box against the hood. And there's pretty much no way you are going to be able to put the pipes in the wrong place. Here's a closeup:

Maybe you could try seating the passenger side of the UICP further into the coupler attaching it to the SMIC to gain some extra clearance.

SO it turns out that I had the upper S hose that connects the tb elbow to the metal piping that holds the bov on the bottom... witch fixs the clearence problem

now I have two new issuess..

1) The lower piping does not reatch the intercooler
2) With th radiator in, there is no room for the turbo outlet pipe (16g)

Im thinking low profile fans to fix the rad room issues

but I cant seem to find piping for the intercooler.... at lease not dejon tool brand... I guess I was supposed to us the stock rubber hose stuff that came stock with the car but I have since lost it...

any ideas??

I really need to get some pictures up I KNOW... I just found my camera and im at work... Will have some up tomorrow..

There's no reason you'll need slim fans to run a 16g/j-pipe/LICP combo, if it is built correctly. Look at last image at the bottom of the 2g SMIC piping page on Dejon's site. The LICP in that photo is the one for 16g, and is in gloss black (not red like everything else in that photo WTF), directly above the yellow sticker on the radiator shroud. Plenty of room in that install for everything.

How big is the gap from the IC to pipe? One inch? Six inches? I use the LICP-2ga with my setup (clocked comp. housing/90* elbow on my E316g) and everything goes together nicely...probably a half inch at most at either end of the pipe. Are you using LICP-2gb, with the j-pipe included, or trying to use your existing j-pipe with some of Dejon's other pipes? If it's your own j-pipe, does it curve towards the passenger side, or kinda go toward the driver's side like it's headed for a FMIC?

My pipes all came with radiator-type hose couplers and hose clamps. I'd give him a call and tell him you got shorted if you didn't get any.

I have a 16G and Dejon UICP and LICP pipes and the Dejon SMIC. I also had the Stock SMIC hooked on as well and had no clearance issues with the hood or fans. You may want to connect everything, but don't tighten any of the clamps that way you can make adjustments to the piping. It took me a little bit of wiggling to get the LICP in the right spot.

ive ran this setup before you shouldnt have a problem really. the thing with the dejon couplers they are cut just exact. too much on one side means fitting will be off. i mean its really precise fitting with these pipes or other similar piping. just gotta play around with the positioning.

as for the lower ic pipes, i have a 16g setup as well, as well as thicker aluminum radiator, with stock fans, my lower piping fits no problem.

take a picture of the pieces you got, well get to the bottom of it.

Well with the aluminum rad that has holes for the stock fans, the fan is about half an inch into the jpipe from the turbo...

my old rad was leaking so I got an aluminum one but i didnt relize it would be thinker

so a slim fan would fix that issue...

after the flange from the turbo that clamps on to the jpipe extention, the one goes down to the smic
at the bottom of this pipe there is kinda of a smaller slight J pipe thats about 3-5inches long.. but this part isnt long enough to reatch my intercooler....

im thinking this is where i use my stock piping to connect the smic to the jpipe... but i dont have one =(
