I am not at the point where I am ready to do a lot of upgrades. Right now I am just trying to put my car back together. I need a new front end because the previous owner ran into a pole or something. After that it will be replacing brakes and everything else that has worn out after 15 years. But just for fun I thought I might add a dejon intake pipe and an Extreme Motorsports short shifter just so I feel like I am making some modifications. Does anybody know which of the Bazillion Dejon Pipes would be best for my car and whether the short shifter would be a good investment just for a fun project this Spring.

Thanks

Greg

Well, unless you're upgrading to the Blow-Thru setup anytime soon, you're going to want something with an opening for a return line on your intake pipe. I would go with this one probably. You won't notice huge diffrences from intake to intake, but this would get it done.

Then just go ahead and plug your lines from the original stock rubber intake like shown in the free mods. I think the link is right here.

Then go to any local Auto shop and get a little breather and put on your valve cover. Nice, quick, and easy upgrade to do.

Here's the link to your breather, too.

Depends on what you want. Do you plan on upgrading your turbo? If so, I would just wait until then to make sure the new intake will fit. If you wanna run a GM Maf eventually, that would be another good reason to wait. Do you plan on still running the charcoal line and valve cover breather line back in to your intake? There's a lot of questions you should answer before buying stuff, just to make sure you only have to buy once. As for the short shifter, I'm not sure anyone makes them for the 90's, and if they do, only one kind that I know of has the stops on it to prevent overshifting. Most can be modified pretty easily though. Search around a little bit, maybe you can find one to fit.

Before you spend the cash on a short shifter, try getting rid of the sloppy bushings in the cables & on the mountings in the console. I actually like the amount of travel (leverage) of the original linkage, minus the imprecision of the rubber mounts, etc.
