Hey guys,

I have a laptop but no palm device. I have seen a lot of posts regarding cables and software and such that point in all different directions.

What exactly do i need to tune my 2G 97 eclipse? So far the searching has been a wild goose chase! Lots of threads with less than useful information =\

Thanks
Chris

Logging software for the laptop. A cable for the laptop to go from the obdII connector to the laptop. And something to adjust the fuel with. No idea where to get the cable from or instructions on how to make one for obdII. If someone had the instructions for it i would appreciate it as im trying to find them right now.

Yeah i heard about needing an adapter. How much are the cables for both and generally where do you find them at?

I use a SAFCII to manage my fuel trims. I had Ditos motors tune me last year, but between exhaust leaks and fouled injectors in sure i need to reevaluate my tuning.

Where can i get the free software for laptop tuning? I heard people talking about using ROM's of the datalogger palmos. Any thoughts?

Yeah.. i don't think lab top softare for tunning is free..

I've seen posts of people running free software.

This is the internet. There are torrent sites everywhere. It has to be available somewhere >_<

I got some laptop software from somewere in this site, I just searched for it.
I just havent figured out how to make it read check engine lights, it doesnt seem to have that option.
But Ive never had a check engine light on though, my car has always ran fine without a CEL, so maybe thats why theres no option on how to check it since I never had one pop up?

Anyways look thru here, I think this site will help. Downloads Area

Remember to get Amazon.com: Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter ( USA-19HS ): Electronics
That is the only one that will work properly when you use it for your datalogger cable to the laptop.

This is how Ive been logging my car for the past year, the pocketlogger is crap.

thanks black!
I'll check out the downloads section for sure

Anyone else have any good tips as far as software goes?
