Datalogger Cable

I know this has been covered numerous times, however i am still confused. I need to know which cable/cables and components i will need to run a data-logger on a 2g. I know obviously that i will need a PDA (im looking into the Palm IIIc) and the software, but i can't find a clear statement telling me either where to buy the complete cable that i need or a picture of what it looks like, i would really like to see pictures. Thanks for all your help.

You need:

- software (I use pocketlogger)
- the Pocketlogger cable or some other logger cable that is for OBDII

- hotsync cable

The links above have photos along with the information to Pocketlogger. You need the hotsync cable to connect the PDA to the Pocketlogger cable. Choose the appropriate Palm III hotsync cable or just check ebay for one. Remember that you need OBDII Pocketlogger software. Ebay also has a complete logger setup for 2g's; however, if you get Pocketlogger you can get future software updates, and support from them through their forum and e-mail.

+1 for Pocketlogger. It'll cost you at least $80 to make your own cable and then you'll have to use freeware datalogging software. You'd be better off purchasing Pocketlogger, which offers support for their product. Not to mention they're a site sponsor i believe.
