dash crack fix

just wondered if any of you knew any tricks to fix those pesky cracks that seem to appear on the 2gs up near the windshield on the dash...i was thinking of just some bondo and some paint but not sure about this....anybody attempted to fix this before???

save yourself the time and effort, find a used dash at the junkyard

Plastic dashboards have been the bane of good-looking interiors since they were first foisted on us in '68. I've still not heard of a repair method that works worth a crap, while still costing less than a replacement dash.
Remember Avengers use the same dash.

And if you go that way, check up on the whole issue of mismatched/tampered VINs.

With all the 2G's being parted out these days, it shouldn't be too difficult finding a replacement within a 2 hour distance. Shouldn't cost much more than $50 or so and you can swap one in an afternoon.

Yes, to stay legal, you'll have to contact your local highway patrol about getting an "assigned VIN", or however else your state handles it. Do not try to change the VIN plates, as the pop rivets used are not available and are distinctive. Getting caught tampering with one will get you a large fine, at the least.
