Ok, coming home after getting some gaskets to replace my ex manifold, and all the turbo ones, I am boosting fine then all of a sudden I get none, the turbo is doing nothing, car still seems normal minus boost. I notice that the egt's jump very high in temp and as soon as I let off the throttle they drop. I get the car home and check all of my pipes...they are all fine, check for oil leaks or anything..nothing....check for shaft play...none.....WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?? When the boost quit I didn't get any sounds or anything....it just stopped.


Well, I started the car today and it has a very bad exhaust leak. The car would barely idle and was on pulling about 6-8in of vaccum. Could the leak be the culprit? I am going to change the gaskets today and hopefully everything will be good to go.

Yes the boost leak could very well be what happend. Fix it leak test it again then see what happpens.

What do you mean zero boost? As read by the "factory" boost gauge or an aftermarket one? If aftermarket what source do you have it plumbed to?

I'd double check the boost gauge connection (if aftermarket) and all other intake hoses for obvious leaks.

I have an aftermarket guage tapped into my fpr, I checked all the hoses and everything is good. I get no boost at all. Can't get noise out of the bov either

Did you inspect the turbo to see if it spun freely? Is the Internal W/G by chance stuck open (W/G arm disconnected or bent/broke flapper assembly)?

Also where is the exhaust leaking.. before or after the turbo. If before could be affecting your boost level.. but unless a huge leak doubt would prevent any boost.
