Ok, so I know there are plenty of threads on this already, but I read through them and they do not apply to my situation. So, I will be driving around or on a startup I will get a CEL and when I plug into link it say random misfire in cylinder 3, but my car doesn't bog, or drive any different, and I have a 7 bolt. Any ideas on the issue?

+1 on the wires. Every random misfire problem I have ever had ended up being ignition related. When you check the cyl. 3 plugwire, you might want to look up the vfaq under 'magnecor wires'. It has some info that may be helpful to you.

Hope that helps you.

Check to see if your spark plug wire had seperated from the boot on the coil pack side. Happens more often then not when pulling them off.

Thanks, I just ordered a new set of wires, hopefully that will cure it

Will do that on my next break, thanks

Random misfire is different from an actual misfire. Random being its random. Prob some damaged wires or random jump of spark through the boot. You'll prob never notice it. And if you do it will be during some stupid thing like just driving normal or boosting. Never really know. If it was your wires, be sure to use that spark boot jelly shit. It apparently works.

I wish my "Misfire detected in cylinder 3" was your problem. I cannot locate my misfire issue and nobody on this planet are able to figure it out since everything checks out. Feel lucky! LOL
