cyclone motor

It's the more expensive way to go for te same motor that is in your car now minus a few negligible things. Cheaper to pull a used motor from a local yard.

"cyclone" is an intake manifold, not an entire engine. It is more expensive than the engine you already have. Also the "cyclone" feature wouldnt even function.

Theres is a few ways to get the cyclone to work..So unless you buy a front clip of an evo1-2 you won't be able to do the intake very easily..

I have a cyclone manifold for sale but it's spoken for already..

There is NOTHING special about the "JDM" motor. The minute differences between the motor in your car and the one that was shipped overseas are parts that would get replaced building the car.

Stay away from a "JDM" motor. I had one, paid $1500 [RVR motor] for it (before I knew about them), crankwalked a week later. So now I have a 1500$ RVR intake manifold and that motor was from a mini van...

Goto a lock yard and pull one for cheaper. You can better judge the condition yourself then expect someone else saying what you want to hear to spend money on a junk motor.

This is not Honda world

I would go to a junk yard to get a motor but no junk yard around me has any dsm and if there is any they have been striped down to nothing I was asking about the Jdm ones that where shiped from Japan because they are pretty cheap with low miles

I have the same motor with an ACT2100 and I haven't had an issue out of it. I've had it for about three years now and paid about a grand for it with a 60 day start-up warranty.

Sounds like you got a bad engine, I would have gotten a replacement from whoever you bought it from or a full refund.

To the OP, Tiger Japanese is where I got my engine from. You can try them out but the cyclone engine isn't worth it. I would look around locally.

Sorry about the repost, and yeah I will try that web site and see what I can get

Did you check the classifieds? Why not rebuild the one you have? If it helps, I searched the classifieds for my 6 bolt block and crank and got both for $100.

I would have needed to wait another 3 months to "possibly" et another motor on the shipment. It was a 30 day warranty apparently that starts the day the shop received it. I was screwed from the start. It's really a hit or miss with those motors.

Yeah I understand what you mean by finding a motor in a yard.

Best thing to do is just call around. It took me about 2 months to find one on a yard when I was doing a colt swap. But I finally found one with with a few bolts on including a 16g with no problems and a 30 day key turn warranty for 450 pulled.

Yeah I don't really have that kind of time. That's why I was going to order one from jdm because they are pretty cheap with low miles

That's not a guarantee you know. Plus you personally have no idea the condition of the motor until you receive it when ever that would be.

I would get a motor from KarKing.com before a "JDM" site.

I have purchased 2 JDM's before. The most recent one was from Noyan. I am not sure if they are still around. My experiences have been luke warm at best. Buying a rebuilt or junkyard engine would be the better option in my opinion.
