My cyclone setup has a issue. When i set the vacuum line after my durango check valve/canister directly onto the butterfly actuator it closes immediately, knowing this, i know the actuator is fine.
With the solenoid put in between the canister and the actuator, it will not close. If i move it into place by hand it will stay about 75% closed. Or if i rev and allow decel (increasing vacuum) it will close. It is plumbed correctly with the side valve leading to the actuator, and the front nipple going to the source/canister.
I know i have low vac @ idle (10-12in/hg) due to 6000' of elevation, FP3 cams and a tired engine. Could i get around this by putting in a 3 way MAC solenoid w 1/8npt fittings, instead of the FPR solenoid? My theory is that the orifices on the FPR solenoids are too small for my situation, lowering my vacuum after the solenoid further than it already is.
Will larger orifices help, should i get a larger canister, or will something else work?
