So lately my car has been vibrating horribly on acceleration after I bottomed out pulling into a parking lot. I jacked my car up last night and noticed that my inner cv boot had been ripped pretty bad and it looked dirty inside. What are the chances that the inner CV is bad and causing my car to shake when vibrating. Also I was going to check my balance shaft belt but is their another way to remove the cover without taking off the accessory belts? Because it looks complicated as hell just to get off the cover

It is a pain in the ass to get the cover off. And yes you will have to remove it and the accessory belts to get to the balance shaft belt.

Do you think that maybe whatever you hit that hard might have popped a belt in one of you tires?

CV joint is a very sensitive piece. If it's bad enough that it looks dirty inside, you need to replace it. It could very well be what's causing the vibration. It should be making a fair amount of noise also.

To check BS belt you will need to remove all accesory belts along with water pump and AC belt tensionser to remove the bottom cover. Why do you want to check this belt? If this was bad, you would get abnormal vibration whenever the motor is on, not just during acceleration.

Ok thanks skillz...that takes care of it being my BSB because it doesnt vibrate when idling, other than from the cams. Belive it or not I bottomed out so hard that It popped 3 bolts off my manifold and snapped 1 bolt off into the block. So I have a bad exhaust leak and wouldnt really be able to hear if the cv joint was popping. But wouldnt only the outer cv joint pop if it was bad? Not the inner? And It could be a tire belt but I doubt it. Im just going to buy a new cv axle and install it myself. They are 44 dollars at advance auto parts and my g/f works there so I can get a 20% discount on top of that.

New axle is a good idea. Not sure if a bad inner or outer CV joint could cause that bad of a vibration, but it could certainly account for some of it. Feel the other boots to ensure they're still intact and full of grease, if you didn't do that already.

Maybe the other part of your problem is your exhaust smacking the underside of your car, letting you know that you're about to kiss its ass goodbye because it's lost a lot of its support! LOL

Well I havent drove it alot since the problem has started but It seemed to only vibrate when I pressed the gas pedal. If I would accelerate to a certain speed then let off of the throttle, the vibration would stop soooooo i think its definately something drivetrain related

Actually I bought a new cv axle and installed it and it still didnt fix the problem so Im thinking I either have a warped rim...or out of balance wheel. Thats all I can think that it could be
