Ok I have searched on here and googled this. With nothing good coming from the searches.
I lost a couple bolts out of my ac bracket a couple of weeks ago. On 97-99 the support bearing is bolted to the ac bracket and to the block.
I took out my ac pump and all the plumbing, put the bracket back in with oem bolts and lock tighted the crap out of them. I took it for a drive and it started knocking and clunking again, but not quite as bad as before when I lost the bolts.
Now, could it be knocking and clunking now because I toasted the axle on that side and or the bearing bad now?
It makes the sound and the vibration at lower speeds going straight or turning.........
