Cutting out Eagle logo on 97-98 Talon Bumpers?

i like the idea but agree it would look better is it was bigger, or if you filled in the indent then put the mistu logo on it.

i did that to my 86 mustang i popped the ford oval out and go some bond and a good spreader put on wet sanded it was amazing

Finally got my emblem done, hardest part was mounting it, gorrilla glue takes so long to bond! anyways, should I leave it or make the mesh black?

i am going to bump this thread, to those still interested in a close up of the eagle talon miniturbo23 posted. This is my talon and did this mod about a month before he posted the pic...if any one is still interested let me know and ill post close up pics and how i did it...

How did you get such clean lines on the cut out? Dremel? Xacto knife?
I have the 2ga smiley but have thought about finding a 2gb talon but didn't really like the indent big emblem but cut out I do.

Wow over half of these bumpers are ruined... I just wish I could find a 2gb Talon bumper to buy for my car. They are rare and people often want to much for them.

I found one locally on a blown up 420a, I offered $100 for it and the kid said he wouldn't sell it off the car. I could buy the car for $400?!?! I don't want that pos . What would I do with a 420 rather just scrap it .

How much did it cost you? And it just came with a black emblem space ... weird.

the bumper was over $400 and yes it did not come with the emblem, kinda ###

The emblem is a separate part from the bumper. There are different colors too.

I want an OEM bumper with the emblem, my current bumper is shaved.

I used a dremel and about 4 hours of time. Took the eagle emblem off use the fade line it left as a template and started cutting, then glued the emblem back on.

All these years later, I finally pulled the Mitsu logo off my Spyder and I am now turning the entire car into a Talon . I am back to wanting doing "something different" but I am not sure what. Has anyone come up with any more new ideas?

I strongly disapprove of defacing the rare 2gb talon bumper. It looks ridiculous and ricey. However, I don't think it looks as bad with a cutout mitsu logo, mostly because the logo is much smaller and a simple geometric shape. I also have a pet peeve about crooked fmics. When the fmic is even slightly crooked it's an eyesore. My recommendation GRNDSM is to cut out the mitsu logo, with black mesh behind it, as well as black mesh behind the lower bumper to protect the fmic. Just my 2¢
