97 Talon putting on 98 Eclipse skirts????

I know some of you say to mark the plastic tabs on the skirts and place it against the body to leave marks so you know where to drill. But has anyone ever made templates to mark where to drill? Or is that the only way to do it?

If you have done this conversion please tell me how your shop did it.
