Cutting out Eagle logo on 97-98 Talon Bumpers?

Damn all these 2gb talons. DAMN I WANT ONE!

I like that except it definately needs a screen of some sort....I don't like the huge hole of nothing

that pic miniturbo23 posted looks amazing, anyway we can get a close up or directions of exactly what they did? I would love to copy this.

I thoght the idea was to get rid of the Eagle emblem, not make it MORE noticable .

I definitely do not like the the gaping hole (especially when it exposes partial FMIC or FMIC piping). The white mesh was better, but had too much contract, I think that a black mesh might do the trick!

That is if can't find a RELIABLE way to completely smooth it out!

Well about the only way I can think of to smooth that out would be with bondo, or cut out the hole and mold a piece of fiber glass in there, but with that you would still need to use some bondo to comeplete the smoothing out process.

i thought the one with the eagle emblem looked nice and clean though..

black mesh might look pretty good.

I love what miniturbo posted but since it is about getting rid of the emblem I would try to find someone with good bondo skills or do the black mesh idea, cause im not too fond of the chrome one

The emblem and indent is still there, I can see it But it does give the idea. Why not have someone photoshop it so you can see exactly how it would look?

I love my 2gb talon look. Wouldn't give it up for anything especially here in Miami, where EVERYONE and there mama have a 2gb eclipse. Lol!

Miniturbo, try and get a close up on your friends talon. It's looking really clean.
My friend told me i should do something like that. But don't know how to do it.

Not a big fan of the big gaping hole look. Smoothed over doesn't look bad, but i really like the one miniturbo23 posted. How about an eagle logo on 2gb eclipse bumper, alway kinda wondered what that would look like.

How much did it cost you? And it just came with a black emblem space ... weird.

I saw a GB for around $450 each... And it isn't that weird, the emblem is a raised sticker inside of depression. So it is TWO different parts! If you want the emblem, you buy it separately.

I talked to two different body man about blanking it out. One said that the bondo will crack on the edges with time. The other one said it will be OK as long as you do not hit it.

I do not want to take that chance. Right now, I am considering making a cut out, covering it with a black mesh and then putting a chrome Mitsu logo like this:

Thats the emblem I'm gonna put on mine eclipse bumper the one gsttunner22 put up is clean but i want for the the small grill for more airflow. hope to do it soon. I also put in a SAFC and its giving me problems if someone wanna give me a hand please..

i put the 2gb front on my talon with the talon emblem cut the grove section of the front for more fmic ventilation

and today i just finished doing the hood vent mod...

what you guys think?

Those vents do not look good at all and the emblem is supposed to be even with the bumper, yours is raised.Im not a fan of either.But if you like it, cool.

well i do respect your opinion but we all have different tastes... im only doing things to my car that are functional, no wings, lips, or body kits. and yes i do like the vents its something not many people have on their cars, as for the emblem i wanted it to pop out above the bumper to add more attention to it but if you notice its only the front of the emblem not the hole thing. and last not that it matters but i just got my car lowered last night (pictures coming soon) im not a fan of high DSMs ether but when your in colledge and live by your self modding a car is not on top of my priorities list. but your right i do love it

garbage,, should have just put in my AEM standalone with my big turbo and everything.. my car running like crap wont get past 2-3k rpms and itbackfires if you try.

are you sure you hooked up the right wires its the pink and orange not white and yellow.
thats what i did the first time but once hooked up right everything was good.

I'm going to attempt the cut out eagle emblem with black mesh behind it hope it turns out sweet, i'll post a pic when done. As for the modified mag talon, it would look 10x better if they didnt remove there emblem, but hey, who am i to argue with 850hp, i guess the emblem removing shaved just enoguh wieght to hit those numbers.

I removed the Eagle logo and put on a small Mitsu logo. I do not like it, perhaps it will work better if I use a larger one. But I just wanted to show it, if anyone wanted to see it.
