custom underlights

anyone know where i can get custom underlights?
like ones that light up shapes and other stuff?

underlights? DO you mean underbody neons or LED's?

Not many people, even in this section are big on neons lights. Try Streetglow and look on thier message board, or in their online catalog.

Streetglow, Optx (also a streetglow brand), Redline, and a fw other neon manufacturers make LED kits that will change colors, strobe, blink, and do all of the above in patterns (i.e. Blink red, then blink green, then strobe yellow). The flexibility of the system (how many operations it can do) is usually hand in hand witht he price. If you want just glow, and no patterns or stobing, i'd recommend getting just a set of neon bulbs.

I havea neon Lite-Glow Pro-kit, and they are plenty bright under the car, i dont think the added price of the LED is worth it, unless you want the patterns.

Aren't the led's better than the tube neon,I heard that they don't crack as easy.I had tubes before and they cracked a week later.What's the deal?

what about more of a custom look, i was thinking of something like for example have like stars glowing under the car something like that. i havent been able to find like lighting specialists around here to ask if its even possible

Dont buy Optx, they are garbage. Worked at best buy and ive seen quite a few problems w/ them. Same w/ their headlight bulbs.

The Optx is the same as the streetglow blue line series... i guess those are garbage too. ( i have no first hand experience, and i'm not being sarcastic or cutting) I know the streetglow g0ld series is good, i figured thier blue line, although cheaper, would be of decent quality.


The LEd's are probably just as easy to break as a regular neon tube, because they are both encased in Lexan. ALthough i think the LED's will still work if the outside case is cracked, while the neon will not.

If you mount them properly, securely, and you aren't an idiot with the wire routing, you really shouldn't have a problem (unless you like ot bottom out your car alot).

Well im not sure, all i know is that ive seen a lot of problems w/ them. Just b/c its made by a prominant company doesnt mean its good. Take rockford fosgate for example. Thats a pretty decent company. Rockford also makes the lightning audio series and they arent half as good as most rockford products. I have no first hand experience on it either b/c id never get it, but i know what ive seen and heard as far as best buy goes and the people who have bought their neon products.

Gold Series by Street Glow are the only neons worth buying... if you want to call it that.
