I find it ironic anyone thinks lime green is "ricer"
It is in fact Original Sub-Lime Mopar
However I agree it goes on the outside with a black interior and very sparingly trim accented inside.

I've said it at least 3 times in this thread. Mopar colors like sublime, lime, or sassy grass are great and pay homage to our mopar muscle heritage. (I really am partial to plum crazy as well)

Mopar ruled the streets of the late 60 early 70's with wild vibrant colors. They turned that into a life long passion felt by numerous generations. Ricey bastards.....

Don't be scared of color, it's a bright life if you want it to be, live it how you see....

dont think i dont appreciaite power but sure a 2g eclipse looks pretty sporty as it is but people deff see things that they want changed in it like mine being white but with 2 different shades of gray and black interior and ugly seats so there is nothing ricer about changing the interior and exterior colors i would never go crazy with green paint and coat the whole inside with it but i will deffinately customize it with a good color combination to add some of my toouch to it

Awesome.

Now just about everyone who will see your 420A painted obnoxious colors will kindly disagree with you. Fast and the Furious was 2001, so was all that glitzy bright paint crap, in this day and age the majority don't care about your paint (questionable if they even did back then) and you will get joked about. So if you are truly doing it for yourself, you will accept that and move on to the next group of people wherever you are.

Because it is outside of the recommended stretch and width for your tire? Because it makes the tire slightly less stable? Because more tread width is better?

Pick your poison.

All those things maybe true, for a track car, this car hardly ever even sees the sun LOL and no is not because is a garage queen by choice, I work so freaking much that I never really get to enjoy the car, hell is a 98 and I just barely hit 60k. And I also wanted the tire to be flush with the rim and not have that bulged tire look, don't get me wrong even I was surprised that narrow of a tire sits as flush as it does.

Hella flush??? No, that's not what I was aiming for but I guess I did kinda end up with that look, after I dropped it 2" it ended up lookin better that I thought so I'm happy.

No, all those things are true for any car.

In fact when my buddy had problem tucking 235s on his rims because of offset he was considering 215s, but Discount Tire refused to mount anything less than 225 on an 8" rim, and you have 215 on an 8.5" do the math.

Funny because Discount Tire is where I got mine mounted and they didn't have any issue doing it, plus have you ever seen or measured the difference between a 225 and a 215, these are measured in millimeters so 10 mm is not that much difference. I guess brands differ too depending on tread pattern and rim guard, I tried some khumos ecstas as well as nitto nt555' s and they looked horrible so I went with toyo proxes 4 that have some sidewall tread and rim guard so it makes them a little wider than they actually are. But as far as all this and getting back on topic my tires being unstable or what not, I still don't see how this is ricer.

Another typical, knows better than everyone newb. Have fun with all your wonderful crappy traction.

215 on a 8.5 aint that bad of a stretch...

Yes. I've actually seen tires that were completly separated from the rim with less gap than that.

Why would I not run 215's? Is that cosidered rice 2? Is just a tire size, I didn't know tire width made a car either ricer or not.

Not exactly rice. But that euro stretch kinda says "hey I can't afford tires in a proper width"

Haha and all this coming from a guy that claims to have everything hks just to fit in with the honduh crowd in that other forum LOL And as you can see from northcal_drifter's pics there's the difference between ricer and not. For your info there Otis I'm not new to the dsm scene I'm only new to the site, I've actually been on here for almost a year but since I followed newbie rules I know how to use the search button which in turn I find all my questions and answers without having to post.

actually under certain circumstances my stretched tire was actually MORE than a regular size tire ...which goes hand and hand with my 2k price tag wheels :thumb:

Yeah, you're awesome. Even though FWD guys need all the traction help they can get, you have decided to go the complete opposite way.

Anyway, I am going back to doing something productive, like trying to build a better car...

O sorry wrong guy I somehow confused you with boostinsideways LOL He's the all hks guy I apologize to both for my mistake.

I was going to say... I never said anything about your traction. If you can't tell... that post was dripping with sarcasm.

The only possible reason I can come up with for running a euro stretch beyond either liking it, or not being able to afford tires that fit the wheel would be sidewall flex, In that case low-pros are allways an option.

I'm glad my 300$ craigslist wheels :

1. Fit
2. Allow me to run a 245
3. Only weigh 11.7 lbs each
4. Have the proper offset.
5. Look pretty good.

Next time I actually purchase a set of wheels new they will have allow me to run an even wider tire, and be lighter. Unsprung weight sucks.

Not exactly rice? Can't afford proper width? Umm no if you read my other posts I said I wanted the tire and rim flush and a 215 did just that because of the sidewall tread and the rim guard being so big on toyo proxes 4's. Plus if you think I can't afford proper width tires I would have gone with the nittos or the khumos which were noticeably cheaper even in 235's.

To hell with painting the interior. Do what I did. I pulled the fabric off my doorpanels and the sides of the center console and wrapped them in black crushe velvet. Looks amazing with OE charcoal gray panels. Just a thought.

i sit flush and lay frame in my gs400.... i need jdm stretch.... i think i know what the problem is you want FnF and i have vip... but on the other hand i want my dsm to have the meatiest tire i can run hands down!

Haha umm yea thank you for stating the obvious but unfortunate to not be able to read very well, in my other post I said I hardly ever even drive this car let alone take it to a track where traction is needed, if any all I would ever need traction for is going up my driveway LOL

Nothing about my car is fast and furious except for possibly the projector headlights that came with car to replace the cracked and fading 2ga headlights that were on it.

Yeah if low-rider/vip is your thing then your doing right. Hopefully when your not dragging frame your wheel fitment doesn't suck. But Form>Function is the defintion of ricer in my book. Euro stretched tires look cheap and scream ricer. :ohdamn:
