it only is ~2.5" but the flow should significantly be better than with the stock o2 housing.
And its not really called o2 housing anymore. I'm using AEM wideband and no lambda control for the Ecu at all.
(So just straight using the maps).

I could have done 3" but I think that solution would be better for my daily driven DSM.

If you have any suggestions, just tell me.

Why not simulate the o2 signal with the wideband?

Its my daily driver, running E85.
So I'm not running lambda1 (14.7 AFR on gas calibrated AFR instrument) at all.
Cruising lambda is tuned to lambda 1.1-1.15 (16.5-17 AFR).
That provides slightly lower fuel consumption.
(21.5mpg in daily traffic with E85 running 18psi boost)

This way running E85 is cheaper than running gasoline here.
Price of E85 ~ 1.10 Euro per liter (4.16Euro per gallon => 5.59$ per gallon)
Price of 98Octan ~ 1.60 Euro per liter (6.06Euro per gallon => 8.14$ per gallon)

When you pay this much for fuel you try to optimize it ;)

Nice. That O2 housing and downpipe looks almost identical to the one that I built for my 2G Talon.

Nice :)
First time I see one similar to my design but in my opinion the o2 sensor does hurt flow badly in this section.
I hope the downpipe/exhaust will be enough to reach my goal (400hp with Evo3 16G and getting the car to 186.4 mph).

I used a pretty tall O2 bung and it keeps most of the O2 sensor tip out of the flow path. Only about 1/4" of the O2 sensor protrudes into the flow path. I have even taller bungs that keep the O2 sensor 100% out of the pipe, but I didn't have room to use one of those on this O2 housing.

very nice work man, i like the fact that you took the extra time and put in the effort to make it so snug fitting to the oil pan. Very nice!

Funny you mention that. Even Innovate Motorsports started providing bungs, that get the o2 sensor completely out of the exhaust path, as a standard part of the LC-1 kit. You have to request the shorter bung if you want it.
