Alright I'll start this with this, I'm no new comer to the dsm world and I know the random problems that can occur but I'm beyond done with my GST.

It began with a no start, so I replaced cam position sensor, crank position sensor and then my starter went, so I replaced that. New plugs and wires (Iridium) and car still won't start. I have no fuel or spark -_- I sure it's the mpi/fuel pump relay because it tested bad.

So I call up mitsu and they tell me it's 89$ and would take a week and I'm not waiting I can't. So I take the old one apart and notice that it is two standard 2g relays together. So I search for hours and find that advanced auto sells them. Only one per store so I got one and about to get the other. It takes a little modification to the housing but it's the same internal relay as the stock ones.

My question is can I just plug the two in and on each relay there are the 4 pins (8 total) but 2 of each 4 are copper and the other 2 "gold" does it matter which way they are plugged in?

Help is very much appreciated.

You can use 2 standard relays but I doubt they will just "plug in" to the harness connector. You'll probably have to rewire the connector or more likely wire up 2 new connectors since the pin physical layout will be different. Here's the old 95 relay pinout with wire colors: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tun...-power-mpi-mfi-relay-issue.html#post152387614.

Wire new relays this way:
New MPI relay wiring pin - old MPI/FP relays connector pin wire:
30 - pin 4 [red/blk]
87 - pins 2 [red] and 3 [blk/red] (connect both wires to 87)
86 - pin 8 [red/blk] (or just connect new relay pins 30 and 86 together)
85 - pin 6 [blu/grn]

New FP relay wiring pin - old MPI/FP relays connector pin wire:
30 - pin 7 [blk/wht]
87 - pin 1 [blk/blu]
86 - pin 7 [blk/wht] (or just connect new relay pins 30 and 86 together)
85 - pin 5 [wht/red]

So should I just solder the wires to the 97 mpi and fuel relay

Your original post above didn't mention any 97 relay so I assumed you were getting 2 "generic" standard relays from an auto store so that's what my wiring in post 2 is for.
However now that you stated you are going to use two 97-99 relays...they also will not plug into your 95 connector. Again you will have to do some wiring. You could solder right to the relay terminals but then how will you change one should it go bad? It's better if you could get 97-99 connectors for them (maybe a junk yard?) or use the generic relays in my post 2 since they also sell connectors for them..

Wiring 97-99 relays into 95 harness:
'95 harness pin 1 (Black/Blue Fuel Pump Power output) to new FP relay pin 1.
'95 harness pin 2 (Red MFI Power output) to new MFI relay pin 1.
'95 harness pin 3 (Black/Red MFI Power output) to new MFI relay pin 1.
'95 harness pin 4 (Red/Black MFI Power input) to new MFI relay pin 3.
'95 harness pin 5 (White/Red ECU Fuel Pump Relay control) to new FP relay pin 2.
'95 harness pin 6 (Blue/Green ECU MFI Relay control) to new MFI relay pin 2.
'95 harness pin 7 (Black/White Fuel Pump Power input) to new FP relay pins 3 & 4.
'95 harness pin 8 (Red/Black MFI Relay control Power input) to new MFI relay pin 4.

FP relay pins 2 and 4 can be identified because they're the only pair that measure around 70 ohms. Polarity doesn't matter (so can swap those pins). Same for MFI relay pins 2 and 4. The other pins 1 and 3 on each relay are the remaining two and again polarity doesn't matter (so you can swap them).

[Technically polarity on pins 2 and 4 does matter if the relay has an internal flyback protection diode in it. However the manual doesn't show one. If you want to test for it see 3rd paragraph here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/273919-wiring-up-rad-con-fan.html#post151312548]]
