alright, seeing that nobody has done the obx fmic kit, im going to make my own. so im thinking on getting a 20x12 ebay and make my own piping. i used to not want to cause i thought i needed the special flared ends, but i have since found a way to make the flared ends myself(cut several slits into the pipe, bend the slits up then down again and makes the end flared).

i got a few questions. im sure alot of people here have done their own kits. if so can you tell me where you can get good deals on piping. i remember pep boys has a section with a crapload of pipes and bends, i was just gonna go apeshit and pick up a crapload of pipe and have fun, but if anyone knows somewhere better, tell me.

and as for couplers, i have found a good section of rubber couplers at home depot in the plumbing section for about 2 bucks each. wait, come to think of it, home depot carries those couplers in 45* and 90* bends. would those work just as good as bent tubing? that way i could just use the rubber couplers for bends and tubing for straight pieces.

any heads up would be much appreciated.

The bends at your parts store are likely press bends, you want mandrel bends. Look around, there are several places that sell them in various radius' and degree's. I would avoid the rubber couplers at home depot, they may not take the abuse. I got all my reinforced silicon couplers and t-bolt clamps from ebay for a good price and I will never have to worry about having to pull the bumper cover back off to replace a coupler because it melted/deterorated from the heat/pressure :thumb:

They sell silicon couplers that are pre-molded to varous angles, you could use those in place of the mandrel bends assuming you can find the correct angles you need.
