yea so the site wont let me post in the fab. section, so i guess its going on here....
alright i have a question..................what would be the easiest and cheapest ways to make piping for a FMIC.... pics would be AWESOME! but so would any info anyones got to help me :) remember---cheap as possible

Look on ebay for piping kits, shouldn't cost more than 100 shipped and comes with enough bends for any routing possibility. However, be aware some kits use very cheap rubber couplers as opposed to silicone. And some t-bolts may not be good either. Just read the description carefully and ask the seller questions and you shouldn't have a problem either.

EDIT: here are some pics of my old car using a universal ebay intercooler and piping kit...

I would look around locally and see who can make you custom piping. There will be alot less couplers then any kit you will find on Ebay. Im sure it will be over $100 though but if I remember correctly mine cost less than $200. 3" pipe on the cold side and 2.5" on the hot side. 4 couplers total on the set up.

ok, so if i have somone custom make it for me, what kind of piping am i looking at....aluminum i take it?

if you are lookin for cheap and quick go ebay, then on down the road you can use your peiced together setup as a guide to have a set made, if you arent happy with their performance

This is a good kit, similar to the one used on my car. Comes with silicone couplers and good t-bolts, at least they worked well for me for over a year running over 20 pounds. Also, they come with beaded ends which is a plus!

eBay Motors: CXRacing 3" Intercooler piping kit 9pcs Free U Pipe (item 370155428728 end time Feb-12-09 18:26:45 PST)

that would work, but theres only 22 days left on that auction, and i have to wait until taxes come in to get it LOL, but thanks for all the help and if you got any more advice (this goes for anybody) lay it on me :rocks:

since you said somthing about your ABS unit getting in the way, what size of FMIC shoud i get.. im looking at a greddy 9X30.5... would that work

I built mine out of 2.25" steel .095 wall steel, and used an ebay 7x28 (i beleive thats the dimensions) intercooler. The intercooler isn't that big but it does the job on low boost if I switch over to high boost 30 psi i got water/meth. That set up has been awsome and not to ugly when u heat wrap it. I think im into the pipe and intercooler bout 115.00. The couplers were the only thing that cost much. Have an exhaust shop flare the ends of the pipe and use worm clamps. Works on mine so.... but I dont care about pretty just power per dollar.:talon:

so yours is 7X28, so do you guys think a 9X30 will fit with no problem?

The 9x30 will fit, I just didnt want to cut my bumper support so I went shorter. Right now the bottom of my intercooler is level with the bottom of my bumper, with the FM mounted to the bottom of the main bumber support. That way was quick and easy and clean. Took me 3- 90 degree couplers and 2- 45 degree couplers. But I built my own j pipe for a shorter route. Only down side is I cant run two fans on pull with my set up, had to run one push and one pull.
