I bought the xs power short route piping. I ran the lower ic pipe and it doesn't line up...wtf. Anyone else have this prob too. The only thing i can think of to remedy this is to get a slimline fan and a longer coupling...one thats like 6-7 inches!!! I know the 2g kit is supposed to fit a t25 but what about all the 2g guys with 16gs...any help is appreciated.

I'm guessing that you have the xspower fmic with short route piping. I have it with my 16g. I bought a fmic j pipe from dejontool so it would line up correctly. I also have stock radiator and fans. As far as running it with the t25 you can look into cutting the outlet neck so it goes straight down or run a "c" pipe from the outlet to the licp location. You probably won't notice any gains with a fmic on a t25. After I put my fmic my car was faster at 8psi than it was at 14 with the stock smic. I hope this helps

ya...if i were to make one it would b a disaster. I just dont want to spend almost 100 on a j pipe and it not fit...i'd go crazy

XS Turbo's stuff I hear SUCKS...

Ive seen pics of a guys XS Turbo turbo manifold crack in half and have his turbo fall to the ground and bend some piping. I wouldnt trust them....and as you can see, their products dont even fit. Dejon would be your best bet.

well i saw that there was a tech article about it (i think greygst made it) and it looked very well done and people love them but im running a 16g and they assume your running a t25. I know i wouldnt trust their manifolds or turbos but now im wondering if the dejon would fit up to it now...

k thanks alot...Did you have any problems getting the upper ic on? seems to be a little short. Almost like I need the couplers to be 4 inches instead of 3.

That's XS power for you! :beatentodeath:

Yes, thank you everyone for reminding us how crappy they are.. cause we defiunitely didn't already know.

But to put them in better light, they do offer DSMtuners the cheapest most complete and featured FMIC kit on the market.

The only trouble that you will have is cutting the radiator support. The upper ic pipe lines up fine. Some people have had problems with the throttle body elbow not being flat. I didn't have that problem. I used gasket sealant when I put the elbow on just in case the flange wasn't perfect. The piping needs to be a little longer, but you have just enough piping to fit the couplers on. What I did is I bought a 24" long tube of silicone coupler that is 2.5 in diameter and made my own couplers, so it would be less likely to blow the upper ic pipe off. With the lower ic pipe you will have to cut between 2-4 inches. Just make sure you buy a 2.5- 2.0 reducer so it fits correctly. You can put it together with just the 2.5 coupler, but you'll probably blow it off the first or second time you hit 10+ psi. All this may sound like it's too much trouble, but I think that it was worth it. My car runs so much smoother on and off boost.

haha thats exactly what i've done so far. I have 36" 2.5 and a 2.5 to 2 coming in. I dont think i need the reducer though. I ordered the 2in j-pipe(dejon...again thanks for the help) so i may just be able to use the 2" coupling that came with it. I did notice i cut the support a little small...I kept the pinchwelds. I saw later i should have cut them though. So when we want to run the maft we have to buy new upper ic pipes...correct? We can't really modify ours?

dont trust xzpower or ss autochrome its not good stuff at all no matter what you buy from them its crap as long as it doesn't move, i've heard the intercoolers are decent though search before buying.

don't know if it would help, but I went with the dejon j-pipe. Here are some pics: (click to see the full size image)

The Kit is great. You have modifying to do with any short route kit. It was pretty easy to install. Any questions, feel free to PM me, I'll be glad to help in anyway I can

looks good...i see u didnt use the 90 degree 2" pipe to connect the licp to the j-pipe. Was this just preference or were there clearance issues.

Have you not read this thread:

The XS kit is probably the best fmic kit available today for the price.. decent? I say pretty damn good. All those people in that thread, including myself, took the risk for you people to trust their kit, as you can see many have and love it. :)

No, you won't have to buy new pipes. Put the maf between the upper ic pipe and the throttle body elbow. Use two 3" to 2.5" reducers and there you go.

Well i got my j pipe in the mail and everything looks good and fits. I just need a couple more t clamps

just to add a little "positive" to this thread.
from someone who has "1st hand" exsperience with the items. and not "i heard" or "i know someone"
i have an xs power stanless steel manifold.
the fit wasnt perfect,, i needed to clearence one of the runners slightly to get to to bolt up correctly, other then that, it is a very nice manifold, very well built and very good welds!
i also have the s.s. autocrome 02 housing, which wasnt perfect either, some of the bolt holes wernt perfect, and the main flange was slightly warped. wasnt a big deal to get it fitting perfect.

for those of you who dont like to fabricate or modd anything , spend 3 times as much money and get something perfect.

for those of you who dont mind tweaking to make things work perfectly,, save some money.

well i got the clamps and got it running and none of my pipes blew off or anything and i turned down the boost to about 9-10. It wasn't that impressive of a gain but and i doubt i have a boost leak....
