Custom FMIC on 1g need advise

I have a 30 something x 8 ish x 3-4 intercooler. Before I start buying hoses and pipe and what not I was hoping there might be a faq for this somehwere out there so i know exactly how many bends hoses etc ill need.

I used the following:

1 45* for the TB Elbow
1 90* for the UIC pipe
2 90*'s for the piping from the FMIC outlet to the UIC pipe
1 180* and 1 45* for the turbo to the FMIC inlet piping.

That was routed the old school long way, not the short route.

im not sure what the difference is betwee the old schol long way and short way is

Long way is through the stock IC route. Short way is wham bam thank you ma'am. Right to the manny.

Shorter the better.
