Ok I got a supposedly direct fit 325 flexlite dual fan kit for eclipse 95 to 99. I do have a 97 talon but parts are identical for radiator between the two cars as far as I know.
This kit was advertised as direct fit and plug and play.
It is not direct fit.It does have radiator hose openings cut in it but it will not sit flush on the rad. you can put it on the bottom tabs and then it sticks out an inch on the top or flush against the top tabs and then it sticks out an inch on the bottom.
Also the brackets do not work the way they come. You can drill a hole in two of the brackets but the other two will not reach especially since the fan also does not sit flush as previously mentioned.

I was in a rush to make these work and they do look kinda nice and are low profile so I bought flexible metal bracket type stuff galvanized and it did work but it looks like crap since they are aluminum and pretty ghetto looking.
The fans are still not flush against the rad.Because of this not flush I have some clearance problems with my tial dumptube.
Also the fan is not plug and play by any stretch of the imagination..You have to hack and solder or whatever on your factory wiring. This is outright false advertising.
I phoned flexilite /Fal and gave them a piece of my mind and suggest a few more people also phone. They said they would pull the 325 line and fix them or take them off the market.
They are not the 10 minute install they said they would be..plan on several hours and I may have to dremel the rad or the fan to get it to sit flush in there.
NOT A HAPPY CAMPER !! and they are not cheap either!!!!

Are you sure you got the correct fans? Maybe you got the setup for a 1g instead?, as the 1g & 2g are different. I know a couple guys on here run the 2g FAL bolt on fans & say they fit excellent & plug right in?

Yeah the brackets dont work. If you are really in a rush you could use zipties. Other than that, go to advance auto...they have little things that will hold the fans down perfectly. They cost like 8 dollars or so for 4 of them. (2 packs if you are using 2 fans) You dont use the brackets that are included w/ the fans...they're pointless, you will frustrate the hell out of yourself trying to make them work.

It takes like 3 minutes to put the tie downs in.
and 6 minutes to wire up the fans. (yeah that takes a little work but its easy schmeezy stuff)
then one minute to wipe your brow. 10 minute install. If you need any help on it...let me know...ill get a pic of what u need to buy from advance if u want it. I have to buy some new ones anyways because i got a new rad.

I realize you can make the brackets that come with the fans work by drilling a hole in the end since they didn't extend the slots far enough.
I don't have an advance auto here but some pics would be good can maybe get them locally.I used soft strip steel to mount them but that looked like crap.Very ghetto .
Also I couldn't get the fans to sit totally flat on the rad.I started dremelling the bottom tabs on the rad and they fit a bit better but still think need to dremel the lower edge of the fan to get them flush.I need them flush inside the tabs on the rad.Its tight in my car with the FP3065 and external gate and dump.

The wiring doesnt scare me am good at wiring. I still ripped the company a new one when I phoned them and complained. I have the right kit..its 325 and it has the cutouts around the rad hoses for the eclipse. Its the right one.
But dont understand if mine is screwed since it won't fit between the rad tabs and flush on the rad.

Oh and from what I have read the nylon rods that go thru the rad are not supposed to be a good idea at all.. supposedly they wreck the tubes or fins or something, several fan sites warn against using them.

well i got it planning on just screwing them in the old brackets and plugging in using old connectors but that obviously wasnt going to happen, took it to the local mechanic shop and after a few hours of they got it done, did take a good amount of customizing to make them fit tho, but they are in there pretty perfect now and work better than i had hoped, no prob since, look great too.

what the hell, if so many people are having problems with these, then why are they still for sale. you should have all sent them back right away. Those fans are not cheap and for the money you spent, you could have gotten cheaper, but just as good fans, and spent the same amount of time fabbing a mount as you did for the "custom" fit.

I got mine to fit finally by dremelling the heck out of the bottom rad tabs where original bolts go. I mounted the fans but using their brackets and drilling holes at the end of them. I just sort of winged the holes but they lined up ok.

Now just have to do the wiring. They do look ok and are slimline but they need to do a few fixes to them..one eliminate it looks like a lip that stops them from sitting inside the rad tabs. Two slot the brackets that come with them longer so you don't need to drill and maybe include some hold downs that would go to the stock tabs that aren't used for extra support.

And three include true plug and play connectors to the factory wiring and if you don't want to use their adjustable thermostat since the stock one does come on automatically they that should be extra and they could sell them cheaper.

So still not totally happy but at least got them to work now!

yeah, I would typically agree, but, with how tight these things fit against the radiator after you dremmel some notches, the nylon zip-tie things really do ONLY hold it against the radiator. I dremmeled some notches for the stock fan screw holes on my Koyo, and CRAMMED the FAL fans into it. I almost didn't use anything to hold the fans against the radiator. Trust me, I shook the sh1t out of the rad/fan together and it was going nowhere. "where you going?...Nowhere..." but, for a couple of bucks, the zip tie things were a good security. I'm not worried AT ALL about them bouncing around and screwing up the fins of the radiator. all the bounce will be between the lip area that I dremmeled and the radiator.
