removing fans

is the fan on the drivers side of the radiator only used with the ac?
i may be going to a external WG setup and i would like to have the room. and my AC doesnt work anyways. the mechanic said i have a leak in my evaporator, and it leaked 75 dollars worth of freon in two weeks? so im just gonna take it out.

You can remove the driver side fan and the car will run fine. I removed mine for a week in 95+ degree temps with high humidity and it ran just fine (I was was workin' on a project). If you plan on running with only one fan for a long time, I'd recommend you upgrade your radiator...check Fluidyne & FAL, etc.

A lot of externals have clearance for the fan. You could change to a slimline, and wire with the other fan for extra cooling.

Also, I forgot to mention, check out C&R racing-They sell radiator+fan combos for a great price and they work great, had one on my 2k ITR.
