Thanks matt. Though I think it'll turn out pretty nice once I'm done with it...
But I must say, it did turn out almost to my liking, it's got a few gaps along the edges but I really don't mind them since they probably will be gone when I install the carpeting.
It's really a pretty good job on my part, since I had to do this by eye and the attached image, w/o the carpet, only the cardboard piece, which was broken in half, and didn't really fit the trunk at all.... in terms of shape... so thats where the estimation came in.. hopefully will have it done by end of the weekened.

Couldn't wait, went over to walmart, spent 15$ on the carpet. Here's the final product, I will paint the staples black soon, but i think it turned out nicely! Always alot better than staring at a spare tire holder.
Woot, I finally have a trunk, thanks matt for the idea/help.

Matt, I was just curious, I see in the pics in the spare behind the wheel well on the passenger side theres a compartment there. Is that a factory removable wall to use as a crap storage compartment? Mine didn't come with that, I just figured those indents on that side were for a factory sub or something. I never throw anything in my trunk as it can roll around an possibly hit my fiberglass enclosure but if that is a storage compartment, that would work great.

Hey, yes its factory and that plastic piece is removable as you can seein the pics it has that little circular latch to lock it in place or you can take it out. I keep my toolbag and funnle in there with a rag. I did see in a picture on the internet with the stock CD changer in there, but I still have my window sticker and the changer was the only thing the original owner didnt opt for and I still got the compartment. I guess its just an extra place for things you dont want flying around.
