Hey everyone, I'm not sure really where to put this. I have a buddy that builds sub boxes and I recently just got one built from him. This sub box was for my 2gb 97 eclipse. I'm pretty sure it is the same as the 2g talons also. He said that he would hook our forum up with some boxes. If your interested in this box let me know and we'll get some made.

The box fits snug, i have pics of it in my car after it was all done. excuse the mess of wires. He can make the boxes for 2 12" or 2 10" subs. He's asking $250 + Shipping which i believe is a really good deal, much cheaper than a custom audio place would sell one for. If you want to pick one up locally, let me know and we can work something out.:dsm: :talon:

ask him how much he would charge to make a box that sits flush with the back of the seats and stops at the ridge in the floor. it would be a sealed box for one 10. basicly half the size of yours and flush with the back of the seat instead of leaving a gap

I just talked to my buddy, he said he said, it'd probably be somewhere around $190 +shipping mainly because he doesn't have a template for it and is going to have to make a new template.

Nice box!

You do know that the box made for a GST won't fit in a GSX since the AWDs have a higher floor right?

:dsm: :talon: Never knew that, and my buddy even has a awd talon. Thanks for the headsup. Ok revision: the subbox is made for a front wheel drive 2g.

Yup, many people don't know this.

Notice the flat surface (the area under the strut bar) on the AWD pic below.

And the same area in a 2G FWD/GST

This is because the spare tire sits up higher (I think its because of the rear diff on AWDs). But if someone with an AWD takes the spare tire out and the little plastic supports out (the 2 black things on each side of the pic below), the box you have should fit.

This is one of the reasons why my subs are pointing towards the glass instead of towards the rear of the car.
