Winnipeg,
Hi, i have been trying to figure out the wiring of the cruise control system since i did the auto to manual tranny swap on my 93 Laser.

The orange power light comes on but there is no more green indicator or actual vaccum function.

I was hoping i could just compare it to a manual system and loop and absent switches out of the system but it hasn't worked yet. I am going to keep trying but if anyone has done this and might know the easy fix pleaseshow me the way.

Thanks

Mine did the same thing, and still does sometimes, orange light, but no green. I have to pull up on the clutch pedal so it presses in the switch mounted at the top of the clutch pedal travel. It is a safety so you don't blow your engine if you press in the clutch with the cruise on, but consequently it can keep your cruise from turning on if you have a problem with that switch.

ok,..i managed to convert my auto tranny cc system to work with the manual tranny swap.

For anyone interested:

1) dissconnect the OD switch, PO/EC switch, gas pedal switch, inhibitor switch.

2) at the cruise control connector, cut the rew/white and blue/red wired for the od system

3) " ", cut the 2mm Black/yellow wire and wire in the clutch switch into that wire.

4) road test.
